Egg Separator Dipping, Grinding & Spoonrest
Condiment Dish
Each egg separator is hand thrown and therefore unique. The size and shape can vary slightly and the blue glaze might come out a little different from one firing to the next. This could be for the cook or baker who has everything. Using this egg separator keeps the yolk from breaking and is easy to use. These spoon rests are made in a unique way by pressing a handmade stamp from a real shell in the process of throwing. They can be used right on the stove for resting utensils while cooking, for a place to put a teabag, or even for holding soap. Suribachi & Pestle Seaside Sugar Softener Single Server & Whisk

Blue & Red Brown with or without Pestle

This suribachi (pronounced: sur ́• i • boch́• ee) or, more commonly called, a mortar and pestle, is based on a traditional Japanese design. Used with a wood pestle, it serves as a unique grinding tool for herbs seeds, nuts, etc. I have added a spout for easy pouring and a shell which echoes the grooved lines on the inside. The pestle grinds the food against the grooved inside of the bowl: thus, grinding is more thorough and more efficient than with smooth mortars. The "foot" (or bottom of the bowl) is designed to be held easily with one hand for pouring, and the inside can be cleaned simply by using a vegetable brush. ❍ It can be used for pureeing foods, salad dressings, tofu, chickpeas (hummus), etc ❍ It’s excellent for grinding herbs! ❍ It’s especially a favorite for grinding seeds!
